A Week of Ups and Downs for the Bulls
The John Harvey State Farm Insurance/Newman Oliver & McCarten Insurance Minor Atom AE Belleville Junior Bulls played three games this past week.

After a lacklustre 4-0 loss to Whitby last Sunday, Belleville travelled to Oshawa for a mid-week tilt with the Generals on Wednesday.  The game got off to a fast start as the Bulls made the Generals earn every inch of ice.  Oshawa got up on the Bulls 3-1, then 4-2, during the game, but the Bulls stormed back in the third period.  The Bulls scored four goals for a comeback 6-4 victory.  Brett Keane was the hero this night, with two markers and an assist to go along with his goals.  Noah Roy continues to have a hot hand with a pair of goals.  Jack Short scored a goal and had an assist in a very strong performance, as he continues to get better each week.  Keegan Murphy had the other goal to round out the scoring for the visitors.  Tanner Zadworny and Reed Andrus had a pair of assists, while Jacob Goodfellow, Alexander Black, and Nicholas Martin each recorded assists in this game.

Yesterday Belleville welcomed Peterborough to their home rink for a later afternoon contest.  Despite a good back and forth battle in the first period, the Petes started to pull away with it as the game progressed.  Nicholas Parado faced 45 shots and looked strong and confident throughout, but it wasn’t enough as Peterborough skated to a 6-1 win.  Nolan Elmy had the lone marker, with an assist going to Noah Roy.

Next Up:  The Bulls get set to play two on the road this weekend, in Cobourg Friday to battle the Northumberland Nighthawks, then into Peterborough on Saturday afternoon for a rematch.
