PETERBOROUGH TOURNAMENT
The Belleville Peewee AA Jr Bulls had another strong outing this past weekend in the Pre season Peterborough Classic.   The Bulls came away with a 2-1-1 record for the tournament. 

 

 In the opening game, the Bulls fought hard and walked away with a 1-1 tie against Whitby.  Braden Declair was strong in the net leading the way for the Bulls and made some key stops to preserve the tie.  Luke LaPalm scored for the Bulls with the single assist going to James Richards.   In game two, the Bulls played a strong Aurora team, but held off the Aurora attack all game with stellar defence by all.  Jake Mattice took the 3-0 win, and the shutout.  Scoring for the Bulls were Rhys Smetham, Keyara Nelson, and Kieran Parkinson.   Assists went to, LaPalm (2), Aden Deryaw-Walsh, and Ryan Erwin.   The Saturday morning game, the Bulls lost to the eventual tournament winner from Burlington 5-0.  The Bulls came out flat in the first minutes of the game and were not able to recover.  In the final game of the tournament, the Bulls came out hard from start to finish learning from there earlier game.   Each line and defence core controlled the game from start to finish.   Parkinson lead the way with two goals, and LaPalm chipped in with two assists.  Jake Mattice had the shutout in the win.  The BULLS ended the tournament tied for 2nd, but due to goals for and against ratio, the Bulls did not move on.  

Next action for the Bulls take place this upcoming weekend in there own Pre-season Tournament.   The Bulls face UAO Aces Friday night at 7:40 in Belleville at rink A.
