The snowy road conditions from Odessa to Kingston couldn’t
dampen the Bulls determination to win.
Both teams came out aggressive and wanting to score. The first shot on net was by a Kingston
player at 13:50 and Queen made it look like an easy save. Conlin was busy, when he wasn’t checking and
removing them from the puck he was there blocking shots. Birchard had a nice pass to Dow that looked
like it would go in, only to be denied by their goalie.
Finally at 7:42 in the first Yuan passed to Scruby who picked his spot and fired a nice slapshot in.
Feeling energized the Bulls went on to score less then a minute later, at 6:55, this time Tinney from Richards and Channell. After some further intense activity around the Kingston net Conlin scored (with thanks to a Kton assist) at 5:43. That would be it for scoring until 11:39 in the second when Kingston finally saw the scoreboard.
At 8:55 in the second, Richards scores, assisted by his line, McLellan and Tinney. With only a minute and twenty left in the second Mott scores, assisted by Royce and Channell.
The game was fairly even penalty wise, with most instances requiring both a Bulls and Canadians player being removed, however at the start of the third the Canadians had the advantage and being down by three goals tried pulling their goalie for some 6 on 4 effort. Queen and defensive playing kept the Canadians from achieving their goal and possibly gaining some unwanted momentum. Conlin tried at the end of the penaly for a shot on the empty net from our end and just missed the chance for another point. Final score was 5-2 for the Bulls.
