On To Bantam AA Semis!!
Belleville drove to Kingston today to face game 5 of the OMHA Quarter Finals after a disappointing loss 4-1 in the home barn, FDC, last night.  The Bulls came ready to play!

Starting off strong in their first shift out, Tinney was able to put one in, assisted by Richards at 14:05 in the first.  Feeling a little spiteful from the trash talking received by some from the Kingston bench the night before, Tinney stopped to celly a little too much at their bench.  Not going unnoticed by the refs, he received an unsportsmanlike and 2 minutes.  The penalty kill line was fired up and after winning the face off immediately scored another one in 11 seconds, this time McLellan assisting Richards for the goal.

Shortly after Kingston took their first penalty, which ended up being a 4minute for spearing.  With thirty-eight seconds left of serving the first 2 minutes, Mclellan skated up into the offensive zone feeding Royce who scored at 9:47 in the first.

Ending the first with a sweet goal top corner was Conlin, assisted by Dow at 3:44.

In what was another very chippy game, Kingston saw an additional six minutes of penalties in the second that Belleville did not capitalize on, however at 8:43 after a fenzy around the net, Scruby scored, assisted by Tinney.  Rosatte played another fantastic game and score at the end of the second was 5-1 for the Bulls.

The third period started with lots of energy from Kingston, continued excellent defensive play by Yuan, Birchard, Williams and Channell however kept Kingston from scoring any more.  Despite ten minutes of penalties for Kingston and quick reflexive play by Richards, Conlin, Royce, Dow, Scruby, McLellan, Mott and Tinney scoring for Belleville was limited to the four goal lead.

Belleville also had six minutes of penalties in the third, but Rosatte played throughout the game with quick decisive blocks, and snatches preventing Kingston from monopolizing on any.

Belleville now waits in anticipation for the OMHA Semi Final series to start.  This is the first time this 2001 AA team has had the opportunity to move this far in the playdowns.
