Disappointing Loss
Despite a valiant effort last night, the Bulls lost Game 1 of the OMHA Bantam AA semis to Barrie 4-2.

The game opened with the Bulls having the first shot on the Colts goalie at 14:33 that was unfortunately saved.  Shortly after the pressure was in our end, and while Rosatte was quick, deflecting two quick attempts, the third was a shot that snuck in.  Towards the end of the first Mott was high and picked up a pass for a nice rush but was denied.

Conlon scored first for the Bulls in the second, giving the team the boost it needed and when Channel shot a pass up center from behind the Bulls net, Dow was able to catch it and make a nice rush, evening up the score at 2-2.

The Bulls gave in to a few too many penalties throughout the night and around two and a half minutes left in the third gave up the tie during one for interference.

With a minute left and the Bulls deep in the Colts end, Rosatte was pulled and the sixth skater came on.  Reffing however was not up to speed and erroneously blew the whistle, haulting the momentum and forcing a faceoff at center.  Again Rosatte skated off and a sixth skater came on, but a lucky Colt picked it up and sliced threw the defense to slip an easy empty netter in, securing the two points in the Colts favour.

Saturday the Bulls drive to Barrie for a 7pm puck drop and hope to return to Belleville that night with two points in their favour.
