After sleepy start, Bulls wake up for a win
Sept. 30, with analysis and colour commentary by Eric Conlon and Jaden Mott - A sedate start to the game which led to some good chat time in the stands before Belleville started to put on the pressure in the last two minutes of the first.

The hockey game really began in the second period. While the Bulls failed to capitalize on a power play, a short-handed breakaway by Willie Richards led to a pretty Matty O goal - seconds later Whitby put one past Mark Rosatte to tie it up with the man advantage. Bulls finished the second with a goal lead and started the third with one of theirs in the box.

But the Bulls left some of their get-up-and-go in the dressing room while waiting for the flood. Nice saves by Mark at start of third until their get-up-and-go got back on the ice. Finally, with our intensity back, we turned momentum in our favour - but then Matty O got put in the box at the 10-minute mark after a Whitby player lost his footing.

Terrifying moment at 8:41 when Landon McLellan went flying head first into the boards in what looked like a neck-cracking fall. Intense play afterward with both teams fired up. Two Whitby players put in the box but we couldn't capitalize. Beautiful defensive play by Nick Kennelly. Caiden Royce took hooking penalty in last three minutes of play (and broke his stick, unrelated to the penalty). Bulls fought it off. A desperate Whitby team pulled their goalie for last the 30 seconds but the Bulls held em off and came home with the win.

Offensive play of the game: "Aaron Yuan made a beautiful shot from the blue line with beautiful tip from the hash marks by Kyle Scruby  - a phenomenal play." - Jaden Mott

Defensive play of game:  "Nathan made a life-threatening sacrifice to save his defenceless goalie." - Eric Conlon (Editor's note: We question the veracity of this statement. The sacrifice, in fact, may not have been life-threatening.)

Between the posts highlight:  "Mr. Rosatte played a spectacular game. He made insane saves. What a performance tonight for this young man." - Jaden Mott

Notes from the Moms: hats off, ties on, no going to McDs during the game. And Caiden, give Nathan his tie back!
