Our Tal Trees Novice AA Belleville Jr. Bulls played their very first full ice game this afternoon Vs. the Northumberland Nighthawks on home ice at the Family Dental Center Pad in front of a packed house.
Our kids have worked hard over the last 4 1/2 months getting ready for full ice - they came out strong and were the first ones on the board when #44 Luke Babbs tucked one deep in the net in the first period. He was assisted by #8 Ryden Ray . Northumberland answered quickly - but Belleville finished off the 1st period with a goal by #15 Charlie Crawford assisted by #3 Colten McPherson & #9 Brayden Campbell.
The Jr. Bulls kicked off the second period with a beauty goal scored by #2 Colton Brown with assists from #11 Riley Cousins & #16 Jaxson Goodine . Followed by another beauty goal by #5 Oliver Kellar with assists from #16 Jaxson Goodine & #10 Domenic Di Genova. After a too many men on the ice penalty the nighthawks battled back with 3 goals. But - the bulls closed the second with another goal by #2 Colton Brown, with an assist from Oliver Kellar.
Opening the third period with a score of 5 - 4 for the bulls they worked hard to keep their lead. #14 Kyler Patterson extended that lead at 8:59 of the period, with assists from #15 Charlie Crawford & #4 Eli Jones. The Nighthawks were able to score 1 more before the end of the third. But the Bulls took the win 6 - 5.
Mark Redden took the win in the net facing 30 shots and making some awesome saves.
The Novice AA Bulls are super excited to have won their first full ice game and are looking forward to another match up with the Nighthawks in Corbourg on Saturday Nov 25th.
