U12 AA Bulls remain in first place
The winning streak continues for the Duvanco Homes U12 AA Bulls!

After winning their second tournament in a row last weekend, the Bulls were hungry for some more wins as they resumed Lakeshore League play. They didn't disappoint as they picked up another four points this weekend.

On November 12 the Bulls visited the Whitby Wildcats.  It was the last of their 5-game road trip and second meeting with Whitby this season.

After a scoreless first period which left the visiting fans waiting in anticipation, the Bulls calmed some nerves and went up 3-0 in the second. Before the period ended though, the Wildcats managed to get a goal. But that was followed by Belleville's fourth to take a 4-1 lead to the third period.

At the start of the third, Whitby scored their second goal and pulled to within 2. But Belleville would score another to earn a 5-2 victory and end an entertaining game.

With the win in Whitby and perfect road record, the Bulls picked up 10 points to remain atop the league standings.

The boys couldn't celebrate too long as they had 2 more points on the line on Sunday, November 13th. That's when they returned home to the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre to host the Clarington Toros. It also would be the start of a 3-game homestand.

The last time these two teams met in early October, Belleville earned a huge victory over the Toros. It remained to be seen what sort of team the Bulls would face.

The game started off with 12 minutes worth of penalties and it seemed like the officials weren't going to put their whistles away. But Belleville was the team that came out on top with a goal to take a 1-0 lead to the first intermission.

In the second period, at the 13.40 minute mark, Belleville was penalized again and Clarington capitalized with the man advantage to tie the game after tapping in a rebound save. Their celebration didn't last long as Belleville responded with 5 unanswered goals to head to the third with a dominating 6-1 lead!

Early in the third period, Clarington utilized another man advantage to celebrate their second power play goal of the game. In the end it didn't matter as Belleville scored another 5 goals and kept their winning streak alive to finish with an 11-2 victory!
