The U12AA Belleville Bulls are set to face off against the Northumberland Nighthawks in support of local cancer care.

The third annual Pink the Rink game at the CAA Arena on Feb. 9 aims to raise awareness and funds for the Belleville General Hospital Foundation Oncology Fund.

"Over the past two years, the Bulls have proudly raised over $8,000 for this vital cause, and this year aims to be the biggest yet," said event co-organizer Amy Harder.  "Fans are encouraged to wear pink and fill the stands in support of those affected by cancer."

In addition to the thrilling on-ice action, attendees can take part in an exciting raffle, win fantastic prizes, and purchase 50/50 tickets, as well as exclusive Belleville Bulls merchandise.  Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and the puck drops at 3:30 p.m.

“This event is more than just a game - it’s a chance to unite as a community, support young athletes, and contribute to a cause that impacts so many lives,” added Matt Longo, event co-organizer and Assistant Coach of the U12AA Belleville Bulls.

Longo and Harder launched Pink in the Rink in 2023, raising $3,469 for the Belleville General Hospital Foundation's oncology care fund. The initiative was inspired by Harder's sister, who was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after her 10-year-old daughter triumphed over cancer.  A year later, the event grew, raising an additional $4,715.

Now an annual tradition, Pink in the Rink brings together the Belleville Bulls and the community to support local cancer fighters.
