Bulls Bring Hockey and Heart to CAA Arena
Pink In The Rink Returns to Support Local Cancer Care
BELLEVILLE, ON –
The Belleville Bulls are inviting the community to wear pink and
pack CAA Arena on Saturday, January 17, 2026, as the Fourth Annual Pink In The
Rink returns for an afternoon of youth hockey in support of local cancer care.
Pink In The Rink was launched in 2023 by co-organizers Amy Harder and Matt
Longo, assistant coach of the U13AA Belleville Bulls, to honour loved ones affected
by cancer and to teach young athletes the importance of giving back through
sport. What began as a grassroots community effort has grown into a
much-anticipated annual event, raising more than $12,000 over the past three
years for the Belleville General Hospital Foundation oncology fund.
The event is made possible through the continued support of the Belleville
Senators, along with the generosity of the Harder and O’Hoski families and local
businesses Ignite Your Wellness, Bel-Con Design-Builders Ltd., and Momentous
Athletics, with additional partners contributing in-kind.
"This event shows our players that hockey can make a real difference beyond the
game,” said Harder. “When the community fills the stands, it sends a powerful
message of support to families facing cancer right here at home.
”
This year’s game features the U13AA Belleville Bulls taking on the Quinte West
Golden Hawks, with fans of all ages encouraged to attend, wear pink, and help
create a full-arena atmosphere for a cause that touches so many local families.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with puck drop at 12:30 p.m. at CAA Arena, located
within the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre. Proceeds from the event support
cancer care services at Belleville General Hospital.
