To the members of Belleville minor hockey, We hope that you and your families are doing well and are healthy in these difficult times and want you to know that we miss you all and can not wait to get back to the rink as soon as possible.
We the Board of directors want to assure you that we are continuously working hard to ensure that the 20-21 hockey season will start without any delays or glitches. As soon as we can get hockey operations back to normal service , we will do so and get our kids back on the ice playing the game that we all love so much.
Unfortunately due to the trying times, increase in operating cost and the financial stress of operating a hockey association, we have had to make the difficult decision to increase the registration fees this season by $25 - $55 per skater based on division. This increase was not implemented easily and was debated for several emotional board meetings. We want you to know that we are still working on cost saving measures and will do everything in our power to keep the association fiscally responsible.
In order to offset the increase for our members as we are aware that any increase in cost is not always easy, we have implemented a fundraising raffle draw to our registration program this season. How this will look is all members will be issued raffle tickets equal to the registration fee increase. The members can sell the raffle tickets and be given the credit towards their registration mitigating the increase to the fees. Members can also keep the tickets for them selves and enter into the draw if they wish.
We are also allowing a 7 month payment plan for families to allow members to reduce the amount monthly for those that need it. Should you require further assistance please reach out to BMHA and together we can work out a solution.
We feel that this is a system that allows everyone the opportunity to save on the registration fees should they wish too. This system is used by other associations with great success.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at the rink soon, should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
Stay Healthy / Stay Safe,
BMHA Board of Directors
