2022-2023 Season Information

***UPDATE***Belleville Jr Bulls 2022/2023 season



OMHA has released tryout dates for Spring and Fall and they are as follows:

· General

· No on-ice activity is permitted until Tuesday, September 6, 2022

· Sanctioned Tournaments are permitted to start For U14 and up on September 30, 2022

· Sanctioned Tournaments are permitted to start For U10 to U13 on October 7, 2022

· All minor hockey teams must be engaged in meaningful hockey on March 1, 2022

· Playing one (1) age group up:

· The OMHA has required associations to decide on and post a player policy for playing in an older age group. BMHA’s policy is as follows:

· Playing in an older age group only applies at the AA level

· Determination is based on the coach and/or their independent evaluators AND must be confirmed by BMHA evaluators

· In order for an underaged to make a team at the age group up, they must be evaluated as a top 3 player regardless of position. For a goalie they must be evaluated in the top of the age group up

· Due to the high demand for Representative Programming, no AA team will be permitted to carry more then 1 (one) underage skater and or 1 (one) underage goalie.

· This policy may be amended for exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the BMHA Executive.

· U14 to U16

· AA Tryouts begin May 2nd, 2022 (7 days)

· A and below Tryouts begin May 9th, 2022 (7 days) · Click Here for Tryout Information, Schedule and Registration

· Development Phase begins Sep. 6 – Sep. 29 (minimum 24 days including maximum 4 Exhibition games

· Sanctioned Tournaments are permitted to start For U14 and up on September 30, 2022

· U10 - U13

· The Hockey Canada U11 and U13 Pathway will be fully implemented for the 2022-2023 season

· Prep Phase starts September 6h, 2022

· The U10 to U13 Player Pathway requirements for Preparation Skates (BMHA must provide opportunity to 4 skates), Player Evaluations (3 evaluations skates before cuts are made with a skills, small area games and scrimmage), Development Phase, Regular Season Phase and Tournament Style Playoffs.

· Included in your tryout fee is the 4 prep skates. These skates are not mandatory for players to attend and no evaluations or cuts will happen during this time. These are meant for players to shake the rust off before the actual tryout dates. ·

· AA Tryouts begin September 17, 2022 (7 days)

· A and below Tryouts begin September 24, 2022 (7 days)

· Sanctioned Tournaments are permitted to start For U10 to U13 on October 8, 2022

· U9 and Below

· Effective 2021-22, amendments to OHF Playing Regulations resulted in the elimination of all competitive (Representative) categories at U9. The implementation of this decision was deferred for one season. Therefore, effective the 2022-23 season, the only categories permitted at U9 will be House League (HL), Local League (LL) and Minor Development (MD).

· U7 and U9 must adhere to OHF Playing Regulation

· Important dates:

· Prep Phase Begins September 6, 2022

· Evaluation Phase Begins September 16, 2022

· The BMHA Executive will be preparing a developmental program and will share closer to the start of the season.
