Bulls WIN to earn spot at Silver Stick
Another great tournament weekend!!!
1 team walks away with the win and earn spot at Silver Stick finals in January, while 2 others make it to finalists and earn silver medals.
The Wild Wing/High Point Plumbing & Mechanical U13AA Bulls competed at the Silver Stick Qualifier in Pembroke this past weekend. They started off the tournament with a 3-3 tie against the Ottawa Sting, Game 2 was a 2-1 win against the Cumberland Jr Grads. Game 3 was against the defending International silver stick champs Upper Ottawa Valley Aces and the Bulls pulled out a thrilling 6-5 win scoring with 18 seconds left in the 3rd to finish 1st in the group after round robin play.
The Bulls showed up to play in the semi finals and beat Cumberland Jr Grads 3-0 which set up the final game against the Ottawa Valley Aces again and the Bulls came out with there best game of the weekend, winning 5-2.
The U13AA team now qualifies for the International Silver Stick in Port Huron, Michigan on Jan 26-29
In other Action:
Honorable mention to our Parkside Landscaping U13A who participated in One Hockey Syracuse, NY tournament and the Dairy Queen/Avondale Flowers U16A who competed in Oshawa Challenge.
Both teams made it to the finals, but luck was not on their side and they each finished with silver medals.
