Organization - BMHA Players to Honour “DOC”
Submitted By Michelle Graves on Friday, September 13, 2019
This year all players and coaches in the Belleville Minor Hockey Association will commemorate the life and contributions made by Dr. Robert Vaughan, the man responsible for bringing the Bulls name to Belleville. Hockey was a lifelong passion of Dr. Vaughan and his beloved Bulls were something he took great pride in.

Doc brought the bulls to Belleville in 1981 and was co/owner of the team for 20 years. Doc was awarded the Bill Long award in 1993 for distinguished service to the Ontario Hockey League.  We are asking our players and families to talk about the contributions and visit the Dr. R.L. Vaughan Atrium to better understand and appreciate the contributions that Doc made to hockey in our town. Without Doc, we would not have our namesake as the Belleville Minor Hockey Bulls.
