U10AA Team Skates to Exhibition Win Over Kingston
The U10AA squad battled hard and came away with a strong exhibition game victory against Kingston this Sunday.
The opening period saw both teams trade chances, but with strong defense and steady goaltending on both ends, the score remained locked at 0-0 heading into the second period.
In the second period, the offense came alive. Van B., opened the scoring with a well-placed shot off a smooth setup from Nick I.
Despite going into the final period down 3-1 on the scoreboard, the boys didn't give up. In the third period, Vincent G., added his first goal of the game to give the team momentum. Vincent found the back of the net three more times, completing a strong offensive night. Wyatt S., also "lit the lamp" with a goal assisted by Alex D., and Van B., buried his second of the night to cap off the scoring. Noah D., contributed a key assist to help keep the attack rolling.
Between the pipes, both Bennett W., and Jaxson S., split the game and turned aside Kingston's chances, combining for a well-earned shared win in net.
It was a complete team effort. It was the tight defense early, sharp goaltending, and a balanced attack that lifted the U10AA team to an impressive exhibition win.
