The Bulls delivered an exciting and hard-fought weekend of hockey at the Northumberland Silver Stick Tournament, showcasing teamwork, grit, and determination across four intense games.Game 1: Bulls vs. Northumberland Nighthawks
The Bulls opened the tournament with a dominant 6-2 win over the Nighthawks, starting with Vincent's last-second first-period goal and continuing with second period tallies from Welles(from Dylan), Vincent(from Gibson), Dylan(from Gibson), and another from Welles. Weedman delivered a standout save surrounded by three attackers. Mason added a third-period goal from Dylan, and although the Nighthawks scored shorthanded, Belleville's strong passing, pressure, and depth secured a convincing victory.
Game 2: Bulls vs. Scarborough Ice Raiders
In a tight matchup, the Bulls earned a 6-0 shutout win behind Jaxson's stellar goaltending, including a massive first-period short-handed save and two more crucial stops in the third. Wyatt broke the scoreless tie in the second with a five-hole finish from Vincent, and Belleville exploded offensively in the final period with goals from Wyatt(again from Vincent), Vince(from Van), another from Vince, followed by markers from Gibson and Vincent to seal a commanding, well-rounded team performance.
Game 3: Bulls vs. Ottawa Valley Aces
Belleville battled hard in a gritty 2-1 loss to the Aces after falling behind early and relying on Bennett's numerous key saves to stay within reach. The Aces extended their lead in the third on a breakaway despite Bennett's continued brilliance, and the Bulls killed off a difficult 5-on-3 with big efforts from Alex and Dylan. A late power-play shift saw Gibson setup Vincent for a goal with 3:10 left, and Belleville pressed with the goalie pulled, but despite a strong finish, they came up just short.
Semifinal: Bulls vs. Ottawa Silver Seven
Against a powerhouse Ottawa Silver Seven squad, the Bulls showed determination in a tough semifinal loss, starting with Vincent's opening goal and a huge save from Jaxson before Ottawa tied the game. The Silver Seven's took over in the second with four goals, added two more in the third and pressured heavily throughout, but the Bulls never stopped competing as Jaxson continued making high-quality saves. Despite the result, the Bulls' resilience, work ethic, and heart were on full display from start to finish.
