Bulls Grind Out Gritty 4-3 Road Win in Kingston
The Bulls were on the road against Kingston and came away with a hard-fought 4-3 victory, showing resilience, teamwork, and determination from start to finish.
First Period
The opening period was a tight defensive battle, with both teams generating chances but neither able to break through. Strong structure at both ends of the ice kept the game scoreless at 0-0 after one.
Second Period
Kingston struck first early in the second, but the Bulls answered back quickly. Welles setup Vincent to tie the game, followed by another Vincent goal assisted by Gibson to give Belleville the lead. Kingston responded to tie the game, but the Bulls regained momentum when Gibson scored a beauty from behind the net, banking the puck off the goalie and in. Bennett was outstanding throughout the period, making several huge saves to preserve the lead despite sustained pressure. Kingston added one more, by a lucky bounce off a Bulls player skate to a Kingston forward, keeping the game close heading into the third.
Third Period
Bennett continued his strong play with a massive save early in the frame. With Kingston pressing late and their net empty, Vincent sealed the win with an empty-net goal with one minute remaining in the period to make it 4-2. Kingston got a fortunate bounce when a puck deflected off a Bulls defensemans stick and into the net, but Belleville held on to secure the 4-3 win.
The Bulls will look to carry this momentum forward as they get ready for their next game on Saturday, welcoming the North Durham Warriors to home ice.
Go, Bulls, Go!
