WHAT A WEEKEND!!!
The Wild Wing/High Point Plumbing & Mechanical U13AA Bulls competed at the International Silver Stick in Port Huron, MI this past weekend. They started off the tournament with a 4-2 win against the Sarnia Sting, Game 2 was a 5-5 tie against the Plymouth Flyers. Game 3 was against the Long Island Arrows and the Bulls pulled out a 8-4 win. After the round robin the Bulls were seeded at 2nd in the group under the tie break rules which put them up against the Pelham Pelicans in their quarter Final matchup. The Bulls showed up to play and took down the Pelicans 5-4 in OT. In the semi finals the team was up against the Essex-Southpoint Capitals, it took until the 3rd overtime for the Bulls to punch their ticket to the International finals winning 2-1.The final was set against the Vaughn Rangers in what was a great game. The Bulls hung tough with #1 ranked team in Ontario but fell a little short and lost 2-0. This was a 1st for most of the players competing in an International tournament and had a great showing and turned some heads!!!! Great job to everyone but honorable mentions to Neve Scanlon & Austin Preston for being named to the tournament All-star team voted by opposing teams coaches & also Preston for being named MVP of the tournament. See our schedule on this page to come check out a game of great Bulls hockey!!!!!
