Bulls Fall on the Road to Clarington
The Bulls were on the road today for a tough matchup against the Clarington Toros, battling hard but ultimately coming up short in a 6-3 loss.
First Period
Clarington opened the scoring early to take a 1-0 lead. The Bulls responded with a strong offensive push, tying the game when Alex set up Dylan with a beautiful pass out front to beat the Toros' goaltender. Belleville gained momentum following the goal, backed by two huge back-to-back saves by Jaxson, keeping the game locked at 1-1 heading into the second.
Second Period
The Toros regained the lead after sustained pressure, scoring shortly after two more big saves by Jaxson. Belleville answered once again, with Welles staying aggressive out front of the net, burying a hard-earned goal to keep the Bulls within striking distance.
Clarington would add another before the Bulls responded with a goal from Vincent, continuing to show resilience and determination. Despite another huge save by Jaxson, Clarington managed to edge ahead as the period came to a close.
Third Period
The Bulls continued to push in the final period, highlighted by multiple standout saves from Jaxson, including a key stop with 12:27 remaining to keep Belleville in the game. Clarington capitalized during a man advantage to extend their lead.
With Belleville pressing late and the net empty, Clarington sealed the game with two empty-net goals, bringing the final score to 6-3.
The team will regroup, learn from the road test, and look ahead to the next opportunity to bounce back.
